  • Take I-25 N -54.3 mi
  • Take exit 282A-282B for US-84 N/St Francis Dr toward US-285 N/Santa Fe Plaza - 0.9 mi
  • Merge onto US-285 N/US-84 W/S St Francis Dr

At Red River Ski Area the attitude is laid back, and the people are friendly. RRSA is located at the top of the Enchanted Circle in Northern New Mexico, and is a full service ski & snowboard area with lesson and rental packages. Got snow? We do! Red River Ski Area is proud to offer the most snowmaking anywhere in the region with snowmaking capabilities on 85% of our mountain. In addition to snowmaking we average 214 inches of annual snowfall, a winter wonderland for everyone to enjoy. We offer the best value for family skiing in New Mexico and pride ourselves on having fun.

Evening activities for skiers and non-skiers alike include Saturday Torch Light Parades with fireworks, Snow Tubing and Snow Coach Dinner Tours! Experience the mountain after dark from the comfort of our heated snow coach to enjoy a delicious sit down dinner at the tip restaurant. Learning to ski or snowboard at Red River Ski Area is a breeze! Our ski school is founded on fun in a safety conscience way and our trails are accommodating for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Red River Ski Area offers ease and convenience with two chairlifts starting from the middle of town, bringing you to the top of the mountain. On the backside of our mountain is the Moonstar Mining camp. Nestled amongst the Aspen Groves, Moonstar is a great place for beginners and intermediates to cruise and explore, with breathtaking mountain panoramas.
