Customer Service
Tim Boettler
Ski Santa Fe
Tim is the model of great customer service, has a great attitude, and is a true team player. The path that lead Tim to his present job started by graduating St. Pious X high school and attending UNM until he was drafted into the US Army. Tim started skiing at Sandia Peak in 1962 and many years later was recruited to work at Sandia Peak by Benny Abruzzo. This man is never with-out a smile on his face and appositive thing to say. Good humor and hard work are two parts of his personality that provide the “prefect” customer experience for his customers and fellow employees.
Ski Patrol
Terry Gee
Ski Apache
Terry Gee received some many recommendations for this nomination a new file cabinet was necessary to hold his file. Born in Chicago in 1945 and grew up in Clovis Terry was a decorated Vietnam vet including a Bronze star and a Purple Heart. Terry started his Ski Patrol service in 1970 in Colorado. Terry started his Ski patrolling at Ski Apache in 1977 and has trained most of the present ski patrollers at Ski Apache. Terry has been an inspiration to everyone and has set high standards in safety training and professionalism. Terry has made Ski Apache a better place to work and a better place the ski guests to ski.

Nicolas Veth has had an amazing season. Winning the Rocky/Central JO's overall title. Then I know of at least one top 15 result at Whistler Cup in the SG.
All-Around Skier(s)
The Chacher Family
Guests of Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort
The best “all-around Skier” this year is a family. In 1960 Dub Chachere wanted to give his wife “Eva” a special Christmas (after the passing of Eva’s mother). Dub, Eva and their son and daughter had never seen snow before so after receiving advice from a friend “meteorologist” Dub took the family to Tres Rito, NM. The Chacher family loaded in the family car and drive from Corpus Christi to Sipapu and as they say the rest is history. A family tradition was born, Christmas tree, Christmas carols and snow. Some 50 years later they still have the same tradition except the group of 4, four generations later has grown to 40. When the daughter Linda is ask why she responded “ Sipapu is Christmas”.
